The roof–column structural system is utilized for many engineering and architectural applications due to its efficiency. However, it typically requires column locations be predetermined, involves a tedious trial-and-error adjusting process fulfil both requirements. Finding efficient distributions with the aid of computational methods, such as optimization, an ongoing challenge. Existing methods are limited, continuum involving generation undesired complex shapes, discrete time-consuming optimizing columns’ spatial order.
